Rajinikanth admitted to Chennai hospital for an elective procedure, condition stable

Actor Rajinikanth was admitted to a private hospital in Chennai for a planned procedure on Monday. According to various news reports, the actor's health condition is said to be stable as of now after he earlier complained of stomach pain. Tamil Nadu CM MK Stalin had shared a message on X (formerly Twitter) and wished for his speedy recovery.

According to sources, the actor underwent an elective procedure to repair the enlargement of a blood vessel near his abdomen. He is currently recuperating in the hospital and is expected to be discharged in two to three days. Official details regarding his health status and the procedure are awaited from the hospital.

Meanwhile on the work front, the actor is awaiting the release of his film Vettaiyan, directed by TJ Gnanavel. The film stars an ensemble cast including Amitabh Bachchan, Fahadh Faasil, Kishore, Rana Daggubati, Manju Warrier, Abhirami, Ritika Singh, Rohini, Dushara Vijayan, VJ Rakshan. The film hits theatres on October 10.

He is also filming for Lokesh Kanagaraj's Coolie. The film also stars Sathyaraj, Shruti Haasan, Nagarjuna, Upendra and Soubin Shahir.
