After his last appearance in director Bose Venkat's SIR, Vemal recently announced his 35th project titled Belladona.

On Saturday, the actor made public his 34th feature film. The first look of the film, titled Paramasivan Fathima, was officially unveiled by actor Vijay Sethupathi.

The film is directed by Esakki Karvannan, who has previously made Tamil Kudimagan (2023), Pettikadai (2019) and Pagiri (2016). Going by the first look of the film, it is expected to explore the religious divisions between two communities. The makers confirm this is the theme the film will handle. "The film depicts the lives of two communities from a hill village who are affected by the diktats of their respective religions. The film explores, in an engaging and non-preachy manner, how communal strife impacts the lives of the people in these communities," the makers say.

Paramasivan Fathima features an ensemble cast of Vemal in the lead role, with Chayadevi playing the female lead and MS Bhaskar, Manoj Kumar, Sri Ranjani, Athira, Aruldoss, Cool Suresh, Kadhal Sukumar, Veerasamar, and others in other crucial roles.

The film's technical crew comprises cinematographer Myna Sukumar and music composer Deepan Chakravarthy. Esakki has also written the script of the film, produced by Lakshmi Creations. The film's final leg of shooting is underway.
