RJ Balaji's Sorgavaasal jukebox out

The film released in theatres this Friday to mixed to positive reviews

The makers of RJ Balaji's latest release, Sorgavaasal, dropped the film's jukebox.

The jukebox contains six tracks: 'Kaalam Thannaley', 'The End', 'Sorgavaasal', 'Wings of Freedom', 'Priest And The Pupil', and 'The Walls of Sorgavaasal'. The music of the film is composed by Christo Xavier.

The film released in theatres this Friday to mixed to positive reviews. The CE review of the film reads, "Sorgavaasal is an earnest effort to capture a decadent system. The film effectively portrays how the prison, the physical manifestation of the system, works like a giant machine that enables the corrupt ambitions of the powerful, chews up the innocent, warping some of them into sinners, brings out the monster inside a person, and serves as a microcosm for how things outside can quickly disintegrate into chaos. Just like how a glance at home can break an inmate, Sorgavaasal is only frustrating because we get a glimpse of what it could have been: A compelling prison drama."

Helmed by Sidharth Vishwanath, Sorgavaasal is also written by him along with Tamizh Prabha and Ashwin Ravichandran. Apart from RJ Balaji, the film also stars Selvaraghavan, Natty, Karunaas, Saniya Iyappan, Sharaf-U-Dheen, Hakkim Shah, Balaji Sakthivel, Anthonythasan, Ravi Raghavendra, and Samuel Robinson, among others.

Backed by Swipe Right Studios and presented by Think Studios, Sorgavaasal has a technical crew comprising DOP Prince Anderson and editor Selva RK.
