Samuthirakani's Thiru Manickam gets release date

Helmed by Nandha Periyasamy, the film also stars Bharathiraja in the lead role

Samuthirakani's upcoming family drama, Thiru Manickam, is all set to hit theatres on December 20. The release date announcement was made on Tuesday. Written and helmed by Nandha Periyasamy, the film also stars Bharathiraja in a key role.

Nandha Periyasamy has previously helmed Anandham Vilayadum Veedu, and written the screenplay for Rashmi Rocket. Thambi Ramaiah, Ananya, Nassar, Gracy, Sriman, Karunakaran, Chaams, Vadivukarasi, and Ilavarasu, among others, round out the supporting cast of Thiru Manickam. Details about the film's plot are scant.

GP Ravi Kumar, Chinta Gopala Krishna Reddy and Raja Senthil are backing Thiru Manickam, under the GPRK Cinemas banner. The film's technical crew comprises cinematographer Sukumar M, editor Guna and music composer Vishal Chandrashekar. Thiru Manickam was shot in areas such as Kumuli, Thekkady, and Munnar.
