Previously scheduled to release towards the end of September, the makers of Bharath starrer Once Upon a Time in Madras announced on Thursday that the film will now get a theatrical release on November.

However, the makers haven't specified the release date yet.

The teaser, which was released in the first week of September, showed various dwellers of the erstwhile Madras city. Bharath seems to be a commoner, while Abhirami plays a sanitation worker. The fates of all of these individuals, who seem to be strangers, intertwine them at a common point.

Director Prasad Murugan while speaking to CE about the film's plot had said how the accidental discovery of a gun by Bharath, who plays an auto driver, impacts him and four other different characters.

The extended cast of Once Upon a Time in Madras includes, Abhirami, Shaan, Thalaivasal Vijay, PGS, Rajaji, Anjali Nair, Pavithra Lakshmi, Syed, Kalki, and Sini, among others.

Once Upon a Time in Madras is produced by MP Anand under Friday Film Factory, and co-produced by Haroon, Bala, and PGS. On the technical front, the film has editing by San Lokesh, cinematography by K S Kalidoss and R Kannan, music by Jose Franklin, and stunts by Sugan.
