Director Rajes Khanna's upcoming mythological action-adventure film Mayan has been given a new release date along with the trailer by the makers on Saturday.

The trailer, without clearly giving out the plotline, shows the film dealing with multiple themes like apocalypse, religious beliefs and present-day crises. The makers, towards the end of the trailer, announced that the film will release worldwide on November 29.

The director will also produce the film under his Fox & Crow Studios banner, and Dato Kanesh Mohana Sundaram serves as the co-producer. Mayan also stars Piaa Bajpai, Priyanka Arul Mohan, John Vijay, Aadukalam, Dheena, Raja Simman, Ganja Karuppu, and Sivaranjini. Jones Rupert Niranjan, will be introduced as the music composer in this film.

In an earlier conversation with CE, director Rajes said that the film is based on Lord Shiva and the ancient Mayan civilisation. "This will be the first full-blown commercial Tamil film to also be made in English. All the actors except the leading lady have been retained for both versions," he said.

The film, which is made both in Tamil and English, will have characters speaking in English, commonly spoken in India, and will not be anglicised.
