On Wednesday, the makers of Ashok Selvan's Emakku Thozhil Romance announced that the film, which was scheduled to hit theatres on Friday has been postponed. The makers cited the heavy rains predicted to hit Tamil Nadu in the coming days, as the reason for the postponement. 

Billed to be a romantic-comedy, Emakku Thozhil Romance is helmed by debutant Balaji Kesavan, also stars Avantika Mishra, Urvashi, Azhagam Perumal, MS Bhaskar, Bagavathi Perumal, and Badava Gopi in prominent roles. The film's trailer, realeased early on in May, suggested that Ashok plays an aspiring filmmaker, and promised that the film will be  a comedy of errors. 

Emakku Thozhil Romance has cinematography by Ganesh Chandra, editing by I Jerome Alen, lyrics by Mohan Rajan, and music by Nivas K Prasanna. It is produced by M Thirumalai of T Creations. A new release date for the film is yet to be announced by the makers.
