It is well known that after Raayan, Dhanush is busy directing his upcoming film Idli Kadai. The makers have now announced that the film will hit theatres on April 10, 2025.

Apart from directing, Dhanush will also star in and co-produce Idli Kadai, which features Nithya Menen in a prominent role. Further details about the extended cast and the plot are yet to be revealed. From the new poster that the actor shared, it looks like he will be the owner of a humble eatery by the name Sivanesan Idli Kadai.

Idli Kadai will be Dhanush's fourth directorial after Pa Paandi, Raayan, and the upcoming Nilavukku En Mel Ennadi Kobam.

GV Prakash Kumar will compose the music for the film, adding to his recent collaborations with Dhanush, such as Vaathi, Captain Miller, and Nilavukku En Mel Ennadi Kobam. Idli Kadai has cinematography by Kiran Koushik, editing by Prasanna GK, and production design by Jacki.

The film will be made collaboratively by Dawn Pictures, Red Giant Movies, and Wunderbar films. Aakash Baskaran and Dhanush are the producers, while Sreyas Srinivasan is the executive producer.
