The release date teaser of Kamal Haasan's Thug Life was unveiled on Thursday, on the occasion of the veteran actor's birthday. The Mani Ratnam directorial, also starring Silambarasan TR, is all set to hit theatres on June 5, 2025. 

The teaser, which is edited to beat, shows quick glimpses of a beard-grown Kamal Haasan fighting villains. We also see Silambarasan playing holi in one glimpse, while he is seen jumping with a weapon drenched in blood, in another. Before the video reveals the release date, we also see a younger version of Kamal Haasan, sporting a clean-shave look.

Thug Life marks Mani Ratnam and Kamal Haasan's reunion after 36 years, since their hit outing, Nayakan. Trisha, Ashok Selvan, Nassar, Joju George, Ali Fazal, Aishwarya Lekshmi and Abhirami are set to be seen in prominent roles in the film. 

The technical crew of Thug Life features cinematographer Ravi K Chandran, music director AR Rahman, editor Sreekar Prasad and action directors Anbariv. The film is a co-production between Udhayanidhi's Red Giant Movies, Kamal Haasan's Raaj Kamal Film International, and Mani Ratnam's Madras Talkies.
