Spanning an exceptional career of over six decades in films, actor-politician Kamal Haasan is flooded with wishes from all quarters as he turned 70 on Thursday.

Actors, politicians and production houses that bankrolled Kamal's films extended birthday wishes.

Actor Sivakarthikeyan, whose recent film Amaran was backed by Kamal's RKFI, wished on his birthday and called him the 'commanding officer'.

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and DMK chief MK Stalin heaped praises on Kamal for being the first one to introduce everything innovative and novel to Indian cinema. He further remarked that Kamal has only spread rational ideas from cinema to politics.

Actor Shruti Haasan wished and her called father a 'rare gem', adding walking by his side is one of her favourite things to do in life.
