Following the successful run of Rajinikanth's Vettaiyan, the makers of the film released the video song of 'Uchathila' on Wednesday.

The melancholic number, composed by Anirudh Ravichander, is sung by Sean Roldan and written by Yugabharathi.

Vettaiyan, which released on October 10 to mixed to positive response, picked up pace in the box office despite not having an impressive opening. The CE review of the film reads, "It’s a rare thing to see a hero, let alone a superstar, reconsider his own supposedly heroic actions and express regret, undoing any celebrations you might have launched into. So dearly did I enjoy the drama of these portions that I wished that the film had continued in this exploration of this man’s conscience, in its analysis of his repentance—instead of the conventional detour it takes to get there involving a villain who sends henchmen to kill everyone."

The film stars Rajinikanth as an encounter specialist, Fahadh Faasil as his techie sidekick, Amitabh Bachchan as his spiritual guide, and Kishore as a Superintendent of Police (SP). The cast also includes Ritika Singh as a cop, Dushara Vijayan, Manju Warrier as the Rajinikanth character's wife, Rana Daggubati, Rohini, and Abhirami, among others. The TJ Gnanavel directorial hit theatres on October 10.

Rajinikanth, meanwhile, is filming for Coolie, his project with filmmaker Lokesh Kanagaraj. Expected to hit theatres in 2025, Coolie brings Rajinikanth and Satyaraj back together after 39 years; they last collaborated on 1986's Mr. Bharath.
