Actor Oviya, who made a return to Tamil cinema this year with Boomer Uncle after Kalavani 2 in 2019, has announced her next project titled Savior. In between, she made a Malayalam film, Black Coffee, in 2021.

The film, directed by John Paul Raj, also stars Harbhajan Singh, VTV Ganesh and GP Muthu in supporting roles. Singampuli and Chaams are also a part of Savior's star cast. Apart from the title, the makers also revealed the character names of the actors. Accordingly, Oviya plays Varna, VTV Ganesh as Kadappara Ganesan (Sleeping Man), Harbhajan Singh as Dr James Malhotra, and GP Muthu as Muthu Mama.

Former Indian cricketer Harbhajan Singh made his debut as a lead actor in the 2021 film Friendship. He had made special appearances in films of several languages over the years, like Mujhse Shaadi Karogi (2004), Victory (2009), Bhaji in Problem (2013), Second Hand Husband (2015), and Dikkiloona (2021).

Produced by Seantoa Studio, Savior's technical crew comprises cinematographer Manick, editor Gokul and music composer DM Udhayakumar.

The makers are yet to reveal other details about the film, like the plot and release date.
