Filmmaker Karthik Subbaraj who is busy in the pre-production works of his next with Suriya, tentatively titled Suriya 44, has shared an update on the commencement of the shoot and location.

The director shared a video showing the preparatory works for the shoot. The production paraphernalia was loaded from Chennai and shipped to Port Blair, where the shoot will commence. He added that the film will go on floors from June.

The crew of Suriya 44 comprises cinematographer Shreyaas Krishna, editor Shafique Mohamed, art director Jackson, action choreographer Kecha Khamphakdee, and costume designer Praveen Raja. It is worth mentioning that Shreyaas has previously worked with Karthik in Jagame Thanthiram and Mahaan. It was earlier announced that the film will have music composed by Karthik Subbaraj's regular collaborator Santhosh Narayanan.

Further details about the cast of the film are still under wraps. However, It was reported that actor Joju George is part of the cast. He previously collaborated with Karthik Subbaraj on the Dhanush-starrer Jagame Thandhiram.
