The makers of Pagalariyaan, starring Vetri in the main role, released the film's trailer earlier today. The trailer starts with Vetri's character romancing Akshaya Kandamuthan's character but soon hints at a tale with dramatic dialogue, gangsters, and action. Billed as a suspense thriller, Pagalariyaan is directed by Murugan from a screenplay he co-wrote with Vignesh Gunasekar based on a story by Kishor Kumar. The film also stars Chaplin Balu and Sai Dheena in supporting roles, as well as Murugan himself as the antagonist.

It has cinematography by Abilash PMY, music by Vivek Saro, editing by Guru Pradeep, and stunts by Ram Kumar. Latha Murugan produced the film under the banner of Rishikesh Entertainments. The makers are yet to announce a release date for the film.
