The latest update from team Suriya 44 is that Karthik Subbaraj's regular collaborator Santhosh Narayanan has joined the crew of the film. The announcement coincides with the composer's birthday. It was recently announced that actor Joju George has joined the cast of the upcoming film. He previously collaborated with Karthik Subbaraj on the Dhanush-starrer Jagame Thandhiram.

The yet-to-be-titled film was announced on March 28, with the tagline Love, Laughter, and War, hinting that this film could be a mix of all. While the makers are gearing up to commence production on Suriya 44, they are yet to reveal details regarding the rest of the cast and crew.

On his work front, Suriya is currently gearing up for the release of Kanguva, which is being made in Tamil, Hindi, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam. He also has Vetrimaaran's Vaadivasal under pre-production. The actor had earlier announced that his film Purananooru with Sudha Kongara has been delayed.
