The makers of actor Mohan's comeback film Haraa have announced the release date of the film, directed by Vijay Sri G. During its audio launch event on Friday, the actor shared that Haraa will release in theatres on June 7.

Answering on why he takes long breaks between films, Mohan, who was last seen in Sutta Kozhi (2008), said that he believes in working in the right film without considering the number of films or years in between the releases. "I green-lighted Haraa after seven drafts," he added.

Describing the terms 'market' and 'business' as hogwash, Mohan said, "Any film, big or small, with a strong conviction in its storytelling will always have a market."

Haraa is an action film directed by Vijay Sri G. The film, according to the makers, is expected to create awareness about IPC sections, as well as concepts like good touch and bad touch. It marks Mohan's comeback to the big screen after 2008's Sutta Kozhi. Besides Mohan, the film stars Anumol in the lead and nonagenarian Charu Haasan in an important role. The star cast also includes Suresh Menon, who is the antagonist, Vanitha Vijayakumar, Yogi Babu, Rajendran, Singam Puli, Deepa, Mime Gopi, Chaams and Santhosh Prabhakar.

Backed by SP Mohan Raj and Jaya Sri Vijay, the film has cinematography by Prakath Munusamy, Manodinakarn, Mohan and Vijay Sri G, edits by Guna and music by Rashaanth Arwin.
