We earlier announced that Arjun Das' Rasavathi is gearing up to hit theatres this Friday. On Monday, the makers announced the film has cleared censorship formalities with a U/A certificate.

Helmed by Santhakumar, the film also stars Tanya Ravichandran in the lead role. Director Santhakumar has previously helmed films like Mounaguru and Magamuni. In an earlier conversation with CE, he said, "Relationship is the central focus of this film. Romance was just a peripheral aspect in my first two films. But in Rasavathi, the scope of romance is much more as the film explores the issues in relationships as well,"

Ramya Subramanian, GM Sundar, Sujatha, and Rishikanth round out the supporting cast of Rasavathi. The technical crew of the film includes cinematographer Saravanan Ilavarasu, music composer S Thaman, and editor VJ Sabu Joseph.

Rasavathi will be competing with Kavin's Star, Santhanam's Inga Naan Dhaan Kingu, and Ameer's Uyir Thamizhukku.
