The makers of Soodhu Kavvum 2 announced that the film's first look poster will be unveiled on March 22. Titled Soodhu Kavvum 2: Naadum Naatu Makkalum, the film will feature Shiva in the lead role.

Written and directed by SJ Arjun, the film also stars Harisha, Radha Ravi, Karunakaran, M.S. Bhaskar, Karate Karthi, Ramesh Thilak, Yog Japee, Aruldoss, Kalki and Kavi. The story is penned by SJ Arjun and T Yogaraja.

“The sequel is based on an original idea by Nalan. Soodhu Kavvum 2 is 100 per cent a continuation of the story from the first film,” producer CV Kumar earlier said. The film's technical crew includes cinematographer Karthik K Thillai, music composer Edwin Louis Viswanath and editor Ignatious Aswin.

Soodhu Kavvum is a 2013 black crime comedy film directed by Nalan Kumarasamy. The film starred Vijay Sethupathi, Bobby Simha, Ashok Selvan, and Sanchita Shetty among others. However, the four actors will be not returning for the sequel.
