Actor Aari Arjunan's next, titled Release, went on floors on Thursday with a Pooja ceremony. A thriller, the film is helmed by LR Sundarapandi and backed by Raja under the Mano Creation banner.

L R Sundarapandi has previously helmed Sathyaraj's Theerkadarishi along with PG Mohan. The upcoming film also stars Deepshika playing the female lead alongside Aari.

Release is set in Chennai and is a thriller that will unfold within the four walls of an apartment. Aaradhya, Subramania Siva, and Aditya Kathir form the extended supporting cast of the film.

The makers have planned to go for a single schedule shoot to wrap up the film. More details regarding the films crew, and plot, are yet to be announced by the makers.

Meanwhile, Aari, who was last seen in Ellaam Mela Irukuravan Paathuppan, has Bagavan, Aleka, TN 43 and Man in various stages of production.
