On Harish Kalyan's birthday, the makers of Lubber Pandhu shared the first glimpse of the upcoming film.

Also starring Attakathi-fame Dinesh in the lead role, Lubber Pandhu is written and directed by debutant Tamizharasan Pachamuthu, who has earlier assisted in Sigai, Kanaa, and FIR.

The short 35-second-long video shows Harish Kalyan playing the character Anbu, a seasoned bowler who is adept at taking multiple wickets akin to famous Indian and International bowlers. When he is interviewed by a TV channel at the end of the video, he says he wants to be unique and not follow the crowd.

In addition to Harish and Dinesh, Lubber Pandhu will also star Sanjana, who was last seen in the Vadhandhi web series, and Bala Saravanan, Kaali Venkat, Devadarshini, and Swasika Vijay, among others.

Lubber Pandhu’s technical crew consists of music director Sean Roldan, cinematographer Dinesh Purushothaman and editor Madan G. The cricket-based film is backed by S Lakshman Kumar under the Prince Pictures banner. A release date is yet to be announced by the makers.
