Actor Rajinikanth's upcoming action-thriller Coolie is planned to go on floors next month. The film's announcement was made through a video weeks ago.

Coolie's helmer Lokesh Kanagaraj posted a look-test picture of Rajinikanth, where he took a selfie with the actor. He added in the post that the film will go on floors in July.

Rajinikanth will be joined by Sathyaraj after 38 years since Mr Bharath. Details of the rest of the cast and plot are kept under wraps.

Written and directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, Coolie has music by Anirudh Ravichander, cinematography by Girish Gangadharan, editing by Philomin Raj, stunts by Anbariv, and production design by Sathees Kumar. The dialogues for the film are written by Lokesh along with Chandhru Anbazhagan, who has also written the additional screenplay for the film.

Produced by Kalanithi Maran under his Sun Pictures banner, Coolie is scheduled to release in Tamil, Hindi, Telugu, and Kannada.
