The makers of Kalvan unveiled the video of the 'Damakku Damakku' song from the film, on Monday. The film's lead actor, GV Prakash Kumar has composed the song which is crooned by Anthony Daasan and penned by Navakkarai Naveen Prabhanjam.

Kalvan is written and directed by cinematographer PV Shankar, who made his directorial debut with the film. Backed by Axess Film Factory, the film's extended cast includes Ivana, Dheena, Bharathiraja, G Gnanasambandam, Vinoth Munna, Jenson Dhivakar, Prasanna Balachandran and Nivedita.

The film has been mostly shot in and around the Sathyamangalam forest reserve. Director PV Shankar and Ramesh Aiyappan have jointly scripted Kalvan. Interestingly, the director has also handled the film's cinematography. Reva has composed the background score for Kalvan
