Filmmaker Halitha Shameem's upcoming film, Minmini, has gotten a release date. The film, which marks the filmmaker's fifth directorial, is all set to hit theatres on August 9.

Minmini, which is said to be Halitha's dream project, was shot over seven years to show the real growth of the actors. It features a bunch of child artists from Halitha's debut film, Poovarasam Peepe (2014). Minministars actors Esther Anil, Praveen Kishore, and Gaurav Kalai in lead roles. Halitha later became popular for directing films such as Sillu Karupatti (2019) and Aelay (2021).

Minmini is expected to be a coming-of-age film that follows two youngsters who carry survivors’ guilt. Manoj Paramahamsa is handling the cinematography while also co-producing the film. Raymond Derrick Crasta has handled the editing, while Khadija Rahman has composed the music for the film.
