With less than a month to go for the release of Arulnithi's Demonte Colony 2, the makers of the upcoming film have shared the release trailer for the horror-thriller. The film, which was long in the making, is written and directed by Ajay R Gnanamuthu who also helmed the first part that released in 2015.

The 2.26-minute-long new trailer opens with the climax scene from part one of the film where every one of Arulnithi's friends die and he spots the cursed chain from the Demonte house on one of his now-dead friend's neck. There is a voicover that says that the chain will find its way into the house one way or the other. A monk along with Priya Bhavani Shankar set out to uncover the mystery behind the evil's vengeance. Arulnithi seems to be playing dual roles with one person stuck in the afterlife. Meanwhile, Priya Bhavani Shankar has the ability to see spirits and hear from them. Will the evil be vanquished or will it capture the protagonists?

Demonte Colony 2 also stars Antti Jaaskelainen, Tsering Dorjee, Arun Pandian, Muthukumar, Meenakshi Govindarajan, Sarjano Khalid, and Archana Ravichandran.

The horror thriller has music by Sam CS and cinematography by Harish Kannan. Demonte Colony 2 is produced by Bobby Balachandran in association with Vijay Subramanian's White Nights Entertainment and RC Rajkumar's Gnanamuthu Pattarai.

The film is scheduled to be released in theatres on August 15 where it will clash with Vikram's Thangalaan, Keerthy Suresh's Raghu Thatha and Prashanth's Andhagan at the box office.
