'Andhagan Anthem' song from the Prashanth-starrer is a foot-tapping number

The makers of Prashanth's Andhagan have released the 'Andhagan Anthem' promo song from the upcoming film. The murder mystery film is all set for release on August 15.

The song was released by actor Vijay with whom Prashanth will share screen space in the much-anticipated upcoming film GOAT, directed by Venkat Prabhu. The star-studded song, visualised and conceptualised by Prabhu Deva (who also stars in GOAT), is sung by Anirudh and Vijay Sethupathi, while the lyrics is penned by writers Umadevi and Ekadasi.

Andhagan, directed by Prashanth's father and director Thiagarajan, is the official Tamil remake of Sriram Raghavan's 2018 film Andhadhun. The Hindi film starred Ayushmann Khurrana, Tabu, and Radhika Apte in lead roles.

The ensemble cast of Andhagan also stars Karthik, Samuthirakani, Yogi Babu, Oorvasi, KS Ravikumar, Vanitha Vijaykumar, Leela Samson, Poovaiyar, Besant Ravi, and Mohan Vaithiya, among others. The late actor Manobala also has a role in the film as a police officer.

On the technical team, the film has music by Santhosh Narayanan, cinematography by Ravi Yadav, and editing by Sathish Suriya. The film, bankrolled by Staar Movies.

It is to be noted that Andhadhun was remade in Telugu as Maestro (2021) starring Nithiin, Tamannaah, and Nabha Natesh, and in Malayalam as Bhramam (2021), with Prithviraj Sukumaran playing the lead.
