The shooting for actor Vishnu Vishal's 21st film with director Ram Kumar resumed in Kodaikanal. The film, which is tentatively titled VV21, is said to be a romantic fantasy,

This will be the third collaboration between Vishnu Vishal and Ram Kumar, following the 2014 period-comedy Mundasupatti and the 2018 serial killer film Ratsasan, both of which were critically and commercially successful.

Vishnu Vishal was last seen in the sports drama Lal Salaam, which also starred Vikranth in the lead along with Senthil, Jeevitha, Thambi Ramaiah, Ananthika Sanilkumar, Vivek Prasanna, Thangadurai, and KS Ravikumar among others. Lal Salaam also had an extended guest role in the film, which was directed by Aishwarya Rajinikanth.

Up next, Vishnu has Mohandas, directed by Kalavu-fame Murali Karthick and Aaryan, directed by debutant Praveen K. Apart from these, he has also announced films with directors Gokul and Chella Ayyavu. Both films are backed by Vishnu Vishal Studioz. While the former is expected to be a high-octane action film based on a true story, the latter is touted to be yet another entertainer like their previous project Gatta Kusthi.
