First look of Sarath Kumar's The Smile Man out

The film is directed by Syam and Praveen and written by Kamala Alchemis.

On the occasion of Sarath Kumar's birthday on Sunday, the makers of his upcoming film The Smile Man released the first look poster of the film. The Smile Man marks the actor's 150th film and has been in the making for a long time. It wrapped filming in June 2023.

According to the first look, Sarath Kumar plays dual roles. The film is directed by Syam and Praveen and written by Kamala Alchemis. In an earlier conversation, Syam said, "The Smile Man is a crime thriller starring Sarath sir in the role of a retired police officer with early signs of Alzheimer's. With a serial killer on the run, the character has to crack the case before he loses his memory."

The Smile Man also stars Sija Rose, Ineya, George Maryan, Suresh Menon, Kumar Natarajan and Aazhiya.

On the technical team, the film has cinemantography by Vikram Mohan, music by Gavaskar Avinash and editing by San Lokesh. The film is produced by Salil Das, Anish Haridasan and Anandan T. Although a release date is yet to be announced, the makers revealed that a teaser will be out soon.
