Sarjun KM, best known for the 2019 Nayanthara starrer Airaa, will helm a yet-to-be-titled film for the production banner Prince Pictures. Sarjun will direct the film based on a screenplay by prominent film journalist Baradwaj Rangan. Lakshman Kumar will produce it under his Prince Picture banner, and A Venkatesh of the same banner will serve as a co-producer.

In the announcement post on social media, the makers said that they would disclose further details about the crew and cast for the project soon.

Sarjun made his directorial debut with 2018's Echcharikkai, starring Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, Sathyaraj, Vivek Rajgopal, Kishore, and Yogi Babu, among others. Airaa was his second film as a director. He also directed 2021's Kishore-Priya Bhavani Shankar starrer Blood Money and last year's Mirnaa Menon-Kalaiyarasan starrer Burqa.
