Gandhari Trailer: Hansika plays a guardian spirit in this horror film

Though the makers are yet to reveal the official date of Gandhari's release, they are working to present the film in August

Actor Hansika Motwani and director R Kannan are collaborating in Gandhari, after Settai in 2013.

The makers have released the horror feature's trailer on Friday.

Though the trailer does not give away too much, it is understood that an abandoned and haunted palace's divine sealing gets breached, which unleashes a spirit named Gandhari (Hansika), who guards the place. Hansika, in a dual role, also plays the head officer of the Hindu Trust Committee in the film.

The official plotline reads, "The film's plot follows a young woman who serves as the head officer of the Hindu Trust Committee and delves into the research of an ancient mammoth structure called ‘Gandharva Kottai’ built by a former king centuries ago. She is faced with several startling incidents in the process.

Hansika will join the ensemble of Metro Sirish, Mayilsamy, Thalaivasal Vijay, Aadukalam Naren, Stunt Silva, Vinodhini, Pavan, Brigida Saga, Vadivel Murugan, Kalairani, and many others in pivotal roles.

Director R Kannan will back the project under his Masala Pix banner, with Tholkappiyan getting credit for the story, Dhananjayan for screenplay, and Srini for dialogues. The technical crew has cinematographer Balasubramanien, music director LV Ganesh Muthu, editor Jijinthra, and stunt director Silva.

Though the makers are yet to reveal the official date of Gandhari's release, they are working to present the film in August.
