On Wednesday, director Lokesh Kanagaraj took to his official X account to announce that cinematographer Girish Gangadharan has joined the technical crew of his upcoming film with Rajinikanth, Coolie.

Lokesh previously announced that Coolie is set to go on floors this month. In the latest update, the filmmaker has also revealed that cast announcements will be made soon.

Rajinikanth will be joined by Sathyaraj after 38 years since Mr Bharath. Details of the rest of the cast and plot are kept under wraps.

Written and directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, Coolie has music by Anirudh Ravichander, editing by Philomin Raj, stunts by Anbariv, and production design by Sathees Kumar. The dialogues for the film are written by Lokesh along with Chandhru Anbazhagan, who has also written the additional screenplay for the film.

Produced by Kalanithi Maran under his Sun Pictures banner, Coolie is scheduled to release in Tamil, Hindi, Telugu, and Kannada.
