Debutant Durai K Murugan's Seeran will focus on the agony of inter-caste couple

The film, whose post-production is complete, is expected to get a theatrical release date soon

Filmmaker Durai K Murugan will make his debut with Seeran, starring first-time actor James Karthik.

The film is said to be based on incidents witnessed by actor James Karthik, who also wrote the script. The story is about a son who struggles to reclaim the rights of his father that he lost due to his inter-caste marriage.

Durai K Murugan says Seeran will question the caste-hierarchy prevalent in society.

The film also stars Iniya, Soniya Agarwal, Aajeedh, Krisha Kurup, Aadukalam Naren, Arunthathi Nair, Sendrayan, and Aariyan.

The technical crew of Seeran includes cinematographer Baskar Arumugam, music composers AK Sasidaran and Aravind Jerold, editor Ranjith Kumar, background music by Jubin, art director Ayyapan, and lyricists Snehan and Ku Karthik.

The film, whose post-production is complete, is expected to get a theatrical release date soon.
