Bobby Deol's character poster from Suriya's Kanguva has been unveiled. Confirming speculations, the makers had announced that the actor will be playing 'Udhiran' in the upcoming much-anticipated film. The poster had Bobby Deol in a warrior look, adorning a shield made of animal skin and sporting long hair. There are several women around him cheering for their leader.

Studio Green Productions shared the poster on the actor's birthday and captioned it saying, "Ruthless. Powerful. Unforgettable. Happy Birthday to our Udhiran Bobby Deol sir." 

Most recently, Bobby Deol played the character Abrar in Animal (2023), starring Ranbir Kapoor in the lead. He received widespread acclaim for his portrayal of a ruthless villain in the film which was a hit at the box office.

Helmed by Siruthai-fame Siva, Kanguva also stars Disha Patani, Natarajan Subramaniam, Jagapathi Babu, Yogi Babu, Redin Kingsley, and Kovai Sarala among others. The makers of the film have released a glimpse and two posters from Kanguva so far. 

In an earlier conversation with CE, Siva said, "The film is set 1500 years ago and uses elements from ancient Tamil culture as well as other cultures from all over India. Kanguva is a fictional story set in an imaginary world with strong historical references and facts." 

Kanguva has cinematography by Siva's frequent collaborator, Vetri Palanisamy, production design by Milan and editing by Nishad Yusuf. Supreme Sundar has choreographed the action sequences, while Narayana has co-written the script. The dialogues are by Madhan Karky.

Backed by Gnanavel Raja of Studio Green, Kanguva is aimed at an early 2024 release in 10 languages and 3D. The film marks the actor’s 42nd outing. Kanguva is co-produced by UV Creations and Studio Green.
