Manikandan's Lover gets a release date

The film also stars Gouri Priya Reddy and Kanna Ravi in lead roles

On Saturday, the makers of Manikandan's next, Lover, announced that the film will be released in theatres on February 9, ahead of Valentine's Day. The film also stars Gouri Priya Reddy and Kanna Ravi in lead roles. 

Lover is helmed by debutant Prabhu Ram Vyas, who has previously made the YouTube series LIVIN, starring Kanna Ravi and Amrutha Srinivasan. 

In a previous conversation about Lover, director Vyas said, "Lover will talk about what goes into making a relationship work. It will portray the dynamics in a relationship between a man and a woman."

Sean Roldan has composed the film's music. The technical crew of the film also includes Shreyaas Krishna as the cinematographer, Barath Vikraman as the editor and Rajkamal as the production designer. 

Lover has been filmed in and around Chennai and in a few scenic locations in Gokarna. Million Dollar Studios and M R P Entertainment, who backed Manikandan's hit film Goodnight, have produced Lover as well.
