The makers of Vaibhav's Ranam Aram Thavarel have released a song titled 'Ponnana Kannu' song from the film. The song has been sung by GV Prakash Kumar with lyrics by Sherief.

Earlier the makers had released the trailer of the film. The trailer opens with cops investigating the death of an unidentified woman. With the investigation going nowhere, the police call Siva (Vaibhav), a facial reconstruction artist who takes it upon himself to solve the case. The rest of the trailer shows the cops racing against time to solve the mystery behind the murders.

Ranam also stars Nandita Swetha, Tanya Hope, Saraswathi Menon and Suresh Chakravarthy in prominent roles.

In a previous conversation with CE, Sherief shared, "Ranam is an investigation thriller that revolves around a murder mystery. Vaibhav will be seen as a facial reconstruction artist in the film. One of the cases he takes up changes his life."

Madhu Nagarajan is backing Ranam under the Mithun Mithra Productions banner. Arrol Corelli is the music composer for the film, which will also feature cinematography by Balaji K Raja and editing by Muneiz.
