On Friday, the makers of Kavin's upcoming film Star released a song titled 'Star in the making' where the actor was seen rehearsing lines and dance moves for the film. The video took the audience through the behind-the-scenes making of the film. Towards the end of the video, it was announced that the shoot had been wrapped up for the film. 'Star in the making' song has been sung by Yuvan Shankar Raja with lyrics by director Elan.

Directed Elan is known for his 2018 hit Pyaar Prema Kaadhal. Star also stars Lal, Preity Mukundhan, and Geetha Kailasam. It is to be noted that the film was initially supposed to star Harish Kalyan in the lead, who was then replaced by Kavin. 

In a previous conversation with CE, Elan said, “I have reworked the script. While Pyaar Prema Kaadhal was a rom-com, Star will have a mix of everything including a college story, romance and family drama.” 

On the technical front, Yuvan Shankar Raja has composed the music, Ezhil Arasu, who also worked on Dada, has cranked the camera for Star, while editing is handled by Pradeep E Ragav. National Award-winner Sujith Sudhakaran is designing costumes and Vinoth Raj Kumar N is the art director.
