After being delayed for many years, director Gautham Vasudev Menon's Joshua Imai Pol Kaakha is gearing up for its release. The film, which stars actors Varun and Raahei in lead roles, will hit theatres on March 1.

Taking up his social media handles, the director wrote, "It’s Joshua time and everything else takes a back seat. Joshua Imai Pol Kaakha, starring actor Varun to release worldwide on March 1st!!"

Joshua Imai Pol Kaakha, which started filming in 2019, was expected to see a theatrical release in 2020. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the production of the film was halted.

Actors Yogi Babu, Mansoor Ali Khan, Vichithra and Dhivyadharshini will also be seen in pivotal roles in the film which will see Varun playing the role of a hitman who takes the responsibility of safeguarding a high-profile client played by Raahei. Actor Krishna plays the role of the villain in Joshua.

Varun debuted with Oru Naal Iravil in 2015 and has since then acted in films like Bogan, LKG and Comali. He also appeared in the fifth season of Bigg Boss Tamil. 

This action-thriller is produced by Ishari K Ganesh for Vels Film International. The cinematography for the film is done by SR Kathir. Singer Karthik is composing music for the film.
