Directors Saran, Arunraja Kamaraj, Kalyaan, and director-politician Seeman launched the next film of Master Mahendran produced by SANA Studios. The film, tentatively referred to as Production No.1, is a survival thriller directed by Nawin Ganesh, who has earlier directed Echo, starring Srikanth and Vidya Pradeep in lead roles. 

While Master Mahendran plays the lead, actor Jeevitha is marking her Kollywood debut through this film. Charlie, Kumki Ashwin, KPY Sarath and among others will be essaying pivotal characters in this film.  

Mahendran, who is best known for his performance in Vijay's Master, was recently seen in the Disney+ Hotstar web series Label, directed by Arunraja Kamaraj. The film will be shot in and around Chennai and is expected to be completed in a short period.

Abishek AR, who has previously worked with Sam CS, is composing music for this film. Ravi Varma is handling cinematography while Deepak oversees the editing works. This upcoming project is co-produced by Muthu, Santhosh Sivan, and Ravi.
