The makers of director Sankagiri Rajkumar's Bioscope dropped the film's trailer on Friday.

The trailer depicts the elder persons of the village taking up one technical role each involved in the film industry. The glimpse moves on a funny note with the villagers being steadfast in making a film despite all the odds.

According to the makers, Bioscope tells the lively and humorous real-life story of a group of villagers who, with no knowledge of cinema, decide to make a film. Sathyaraj and Cheran are set to play cameo roles in this flick.

Sankagiri Rajkumar has previously helmed the 2011 film Vengayam, which also had Sathyaraj in a cameo role as himself in the film while Alexander VJ and Pavina Joel play lead roles. The film also features actors Manickam, Vellayammal, and Muththayi in prominent roles.

On the technical team, Bioscope has music by Tajnoor, cinematography by Murali Ganesh, and art direction by Martin. Bioscope is produced by Chanthirasuriyan, Prabhu Subramani and Periyasamy under the banner of 25 Dots Creations. Sankagiri Rajkumar has joined hands with Producer Bazaar, while the OTT rights have been acquired by Aha.

The film is set for release on January 3.
