While Vidaamuyarchi is all set for a Pongal 2025 release, director Magizh Thirumeni shared a heartfelt note from the final day of shoot. The production banner of the film, Lyca Productions shared on social media a picture of Ajith with director Magizh, alongside the note. In the note, the filmmaker said, "Vidaamuyarchi has indeed been a triumph of perseverance," and thanked Ajith for guiding, inspiring and motivating the entire team.

The film also stars Trisha Krishnan, Arjun Sarja and Regina Cassandra in key roles. The other day, the makers also added Ramya Subramanian to the cast. Shot mostly in Azerbaijan and described as a road thriller, the film's makers released a teaser earlier this year that promises an intense action film set in a desert.

On the technical front, the film has composer Anirudh Ravichander, cinematographer Om Prakash, editor NB Srikanth, and action choreographer by Supreme Sundar.

Ajith also has Good Bad Ugly, directed by Adhik Ravichandran, in the pipeline. Good Bad Ugly is also set for a Pongal release, but the film's producer Mythri Movie Makers is expected to postpone it to avoid a clash with Vidaamuyarchi.
