Film based on actor-singer JP Chandrababu in development

Tamil comic actor and singer Chandrababu’s life will soon be the subject of a feature film. It will be produced by Global One Studios, known for backing films such as Hey Sinamika. The production house has gained the rights to make the film from Chandrababu’s brother, Jawahar. It will be based on K Rajeshwar’s book JP: The Legend Of Chandrababu. Rajeshwar is known as the writer of films such as Seevalaperi Pandi and Kovilpatti Veeralakshmi.

Renowned writer B Jeyamohan will pen the script and dialogues for the upcoming film. Madhan Karky will also play his part with additional screenplay, lyrics, and dialogues.

The makers are yet to reveal further information about the film. Chandrababu, a legendary Tamil comic actor and singer, is known for his unique Chaplinesque comedy style and soulful voice. Sabaash Meena, Annai, and Kavalai Illaadha Manithan are among his best-known works.
