Rajkumar Periasamy thanks Gautham Karthik and Harish Uthaman for their contribution in Amaran

After the tremendous theatrical run and positive response after the OTT premiere, Amaran director Rajkumar Periasamy thanked actors Gautham Karthik and Harish Uthaman for dubbing for the film.

Harish has lent his voice to Shyrush Zutshi, who has played Altaf Baba and Gautham has lent his voice for Rohman Shawl's Asif Wani role.

Rajkumar thanked Gautham for carrying the 'same power' and 'effective communication', and Harish for displaying the same depth as Shyrush.

Amaran is based on the life of late Major Mukund Varadarajan in the army and his brave stint in the 44th Rashtriya Rifles battalion in Jammu and Kashmir. The film also explores the relationship that Mukund and his wife Indhu share.

Apart from Sivakarthikeyan and Sai Pallavi, the film also stars Bhuvan Arora as Sepoy Vikram Singh and Rahul Bose as Mukund's commanding officer, Colonel Amit Singh Dabas. Lallu, Shreekumar, Shyam Mohan, Ajaey Naga Raaman, Mir Salman and Gaurav Venkatesh round up the supporting cast. Amaran is based on Shiv Aroor and Rahul Singh's book India's Most Fearless: True Stories of Modern Military.

Amaran's crew includes music composer GV Prakash Kumar, cinematographer CH Sai, editor Kalaivanan, and stunt director Stefan Richter. The film is bankrolled by Kamal Haasan's Raaj Kamal Films International along with Sony Pictures International Productions.
