Soori's next with Prasanth Pandiyaraj titled Maaman

The film also stars Aishwarya Lekshmi and Rajkiran in prominent roles

Previously, we reported that actor Soori will be collaborating with Vilangu-fame director Prasanth Pandiyaraj, for his next. On Monday, the makers revealed that the film has been titled Maaman. The film also stars Aishwarya Lekshmi as the female lead and Rajkiran in a pivotal role. 

With a small pooja ceremony in the presence of the cast and crew, the film went on floors on Monday. Maaman, backed by K Kumar of Lark Studios, marks Soori's second collaboration with the production house, after RS Durai Senthilkumar's Garudan

Maaman is billed to be a commercial entertainer. Prasanth Pandiyaraj made his debut with Bruce Lee that had GV Prakash Kumar in the lead. 

The technical crew of Maaman comprises music composer Hesham Abdul Wahab, cinematographer Dinesh Purushothaman, and editor Ganesh Siva. More details about Maaman, such as genre, plot, release date, are yet to be announced by the makers. 

Soori will next be seen in Viduthalai: Part 2, which is slated to hit theatres on December 20. The actor also has Yezhu Kadal Yezhu Malai in the pipeline.
