The producer of Suriya 45, Dream Warrior Pictures has been making a string of cast and technician announcements over the last few days. After Trisha, popular Malayalam actor Indrans, and Lubber Pandhu star Swaswika, Yogi Babu becomes the latest addition to the film's cast. The RJ Balaji directorial reunites Yogi Babu with his Kanguva co-star Suriya.

The film marks the maiden collaboration between director RJ Balaji and Suriya. It also brings Trisha and Suriya together for the first time after 2005's Aaru.

Recently, composer Sai Abhyankar joined the project as a replacement for AR Rahman. Cinematographer GK Vishnu is also part of the film's technical team.

SR Prabu and SR Prakash Babu are producing the film for their banner Dream Warrior Pictures. The film was launched with a traditional pooja ceremony earlier this year and is in preproduction. The makers are yet to disclose plot and character details. However, they hinted that the film will star Yogi Babu in a comedic role. "Expect nothing less than an explosion of laughter and entertainment," they said in the announcement post on X.

Yogi Babu made his Hollywood debut with a brief appearance in director Tel K Ganesan's Trap City, which hit US theatres earlier this December.

Besides Suriya 45, Yogi Babu's upcoming projects also include the Ajith starrer Vidaamuyarchi, Kuzhanthaigal Munnetra Kazhagam with Senthil, Malai with Lakshmi Menon, and a film with Vemal and Thamizhan director Abdul Majith.
