Coming as a big update in K-town, actor Sivakarthikeyan will join hands with filmmaker Sudha Kongara and music composer GV Prakash for his 25th film.

The film, produced by Aakash Baskaran under the Dawn Pictures banner, was officially announced after a formal pooja. Tentatively titled SK25, the film also stars actors Jayam Ravi and Atharvaa in crucial roles. It is worth noting that this would be Sivakarthikeyan's first multi-starrer in 11 years after Kedi Billa Killadi Ranga (2013), directed by Pandiraj. Telugu actor Sreeleela will make her Tamil debut as the leading lady. Cinematographer Ravi K Chandran too is a part of SK25.

Jayam Ravi, who was last seen in Rajesh M's Brother, will next be seen in Dada-fame director Ganesh K Babu's film. Ravi's 34th film too was launched on Saturday. The film marks the debut of Daudee Jiwal, daughter of Tamil Nadu's current Director General of Police (DGP), Shankar Jiwal.

Sivakarthikeyan's 25th project was much-hyped about for quiet sometime, and directors Venkat Prabhu and Sudha Kongara were in contention to helm.

Sivakarthikeyan is basking in the success of his recent outing Amaran, also starring Sai Pallavi and directed by Rajkumar Periasamy. That apart, he has SK23, which is being filmed, directed by AR Murugadoss.
