Anupam Kher on watching Karthi's Meiyazhagan: 'Cried a lot'

Actor Anupam Kher took to his official X handle on Saturday to pen a short review of Karthi and Arvind Swami's latest outing, Meiyazhagan

The actor wrote, "Watched Meiyazhagan. What an Outstanding film!! Simple, Beautiful and lyrical. Cried a lot. Brilliant performances by my friend Arvind Swami and Karthi. Every department of the film is superb! Kudos to the entire team. And specifically to the director of the film C Prem Kumar." (sic)

Meiyazhagan is the sophomore directorial of C Prem Kumar, who previously helmed '96. Meiyazhagan also stars Sri Divya, Devadarshini, Rajkiran, Jayaprakash, Ilavarasu, Karunakaran, and Saran Sakthi among others. The film hit theatres on September 27 and opened to positive reception. 

Produced by Jyothika and Suriya under the 2D Entertainment banner, Meiyazhagan has a technical crew comprising, music composer Govind Vasantha, editor R Govindraj and cinematographer Mahendiran Jayaraju. The film is currently available to stream on Netflix. 

Meanwhile, Anupam Kher currently awaits the release of Kangana Ranaut's Emergency which is scheduled for release on January 17, 2025. He also has The India House in the pipeline.
