Sathyaraj to play Rajasekar in Rajinikanth-Lokesh Kanagaraj's Coolie

The makers of Rajinikanth's next, Coolie, directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, made it official that Sathyaraj will be a part of the project.

Notably, we reported that Sathyaraj has confirmed he will be a part of the project when he addressed the press during the promotions of another film. The actor will play Rajasekar in the ensemble comprising Nagarjuna, Shruti Haasan and Soubin Shahir.

Sun Pictures, the production company of Coolie, announced there will be casting reveal daily starting from August 28. Further details about her character are yet to be revealed, although the poster hints at an action-related flavour.

The film went on floors in July. On the technical front, it has music by Anirudh Ravichander, cinematography by Girish Gangadharan, editing by Philomin Raj, and stunts by Anbariv. The dialogues for the film are written by Lokesh alongside Chandhru Anbazhagan, who has also written the additional screenplay for the film.

Produced by Kalanithi Maran under his Sun Pictures banner, Coolie is scheduled to release in Tamil, Hindi, Telugu, and Kannada.
