Director Mari Selvaraj, whose recently released Vaazhai has been winning praise from critics and audiences alike, has revealed about his future project with Dhanush after he wraps Bison with Dhruv Vikram.

In a recent press meet, the filmmaker said he needed more time and maturity to handle the film with Dhanush after Karnan. He added that the script is yet to be locked, but it will be a historical film.

Some reports suggest that his upcoming sports drama, Bison Kaalamaadan, starring Dhruv Vikram and Anupama Parameswaran, is 70 percent complete.

The CE review of Vaazhai that was released this Friday reads, "Director Mari Selvaraj, who has a knack for arresting his audience with deeply personal and affecting stories, has pulled out a page from his life with Vaazhai, a film so tender that it tugs at your heartstrings and then uproots it all at once."

Vaazhai, Mari's first production venture, stars Ponvel M, Raghul R, Kalaiyarasan, Nikhila Vimal, J Sathish Kumar, Dhivya Duraisamy, and Janaki. It marks the debut of Mari Selvaraj as a producer; he produced it with his wife, Divya.

On the technical front, Vaazhai has cinematography by Theni Eswar, editing by Suriya Pradhaman, and music by Santhosh Narayanan.
