In an exclusive conversation with CE, SonyLIV’s Content Head, Saugata Mukherjee, revealed that production on Madras Mystery, starring Nazriya Nazim in her streaming debut, has been completed. The Tamil show is directed by AL Vijay, known for films such as Deiva Thirumagal, Madrasapattinam, Thaandavam, and Thalaivaa.

Further details about the rest of the cast and the plot of the show will come out once the makers announce the title and the completion of its production through their official channels.

Nazriya is making a comeback in Tamil with Madras Mystery. In Tamil, she last appeared in the 2014 Balaji Mohan directorial Vaayai Moodi Pesavum, opposite Dulquer Salman. Across all languages, she was last seen in 2022’s Vivek Athreya directorial Ante Sundaraniki, opposite Nani. In Malayalam, her last film was a cameo role in 2020’s Maniyarayile Ashokan, opposite Jacob Gregory.

Nazriya's upcoming projects also include Sookshmadarshini, starring Basil Joseph and directed by MC Jithin.
