The makers of Karthi-PS Mithran's Sardar 2 have officially announced the onboarding of Rajisha Vijayan.

It is not known how Rajisha will be cast in the sequel, as the actress played the female lead, who dies in the first part's flashback portion, opposite the titular character.

Apart from the returning cast members Karthi and Rajisha Vijayan, the film also features new members SJ Suryah, Malavika Mohanan, and Ashika Ranganath.

The makers are yet to confirm whether the rest of the cast of Sardar, including Raashi Khanna and Munishkanth, will return for the sequel.

Also returning are George C Williams as the cinematographer and Dhilip Subbarayan as the stunt director. Yuvan Shankar Raja replaced GV Prakash as the music composer, and Vijay Velukutty replaced Antony L Ruben as the editor.

Sardar 2 is produced by Lakshman Kumar under his Prince Pictures banner.
