The makers of Mari Selvaraj's Vaazhai have released the fourth single from the film titled 'Paadhavathi' on Saturday.

The song, themed on the Oppari style in Tamil folk tradition, is about the separation of a mother from her son, for which the mother calls herself Paadhavathi (the cursed).

Three songs from the film, 'Thenkizhakku', 'Oru Oorula Raja' and 'Otha Satti Soru', have already been released.

Vaazhai stars Kalaiyarasan, Nikhila Vimal, and Priyanka Nair, among others. With this film, Mari Selvaraj is making his debut as a producer.

Vaazhai’s technical team includes Theni Eswar as the cinematographer, while Suriya Pradhaman will handle the editing. Santhosh Narayanan, who has worked with Mari in Karnan and Pariyerum Perumal, is the music composer for Vaazhai as well. Mari, who last made Maamannan, also has Bison Kalamaadan, starring Dhruv Vikram and Anupama Parameswaran, in the pipeline.

Vaazhai is gearing up for release on August 23. It will be released alongside Soori and Anna Ben's Kottukkaali in theatres.
